All over Africa, one of the most pressing issues is child protection, the question has always been how we protect our children from warlords, rebel leaders, and those who participate in child trafficking. What intervention can be given so children can be saved within the African space which is prone to war and shacky political lines? Our program seeks to create a home, and communities under UN protection with hopes that children or families who run into our shelters will be protected. The next big question is how to rehabilitate children of war (those who were indoctrinated into killing) back into societies. There are hundreds of such children spread across Africa. Our Child Solder Intervention programs seek to send well-trained and professional counselors to our homes and other homes to help counsel these children, offering them the needed therapy that will aid in their social and community acceptance.
